Wedding film editing is a completely different discipline from corporate video work.

The volume alone is punishing — 10–30 hours of raw footage per event across multiple cameras, multiple angles, hours of ceremony, candid moments, speeches, and dancing. You can't watch it all in real time. You develop a feel for scrubbing timelines fast, knowing what a great moment looks like in a waveform before you've even heard it.

But the harder problem is emotional. You're not selling a product. You're condensing one of the most important days of someone's life into 6 minutes. Get the pacing wrong and the whole thing feels hollow — too fast and it's overwhelming, too slow and you lose people. Sound design is half the work: the balance between music, vows, ambient noise, and silence. And every couple is different. Every wedding has its own energy.
